THE
TAKE-OFF:

It
is placed at 1.809 m. west face at the dominant flow meteorological
and it doesn´t represent any particular difficulty. The landing
up is easy because of the breeze regularity.
The
new take-offs from Levante and the wood´s ramp of the south-west
for the delta-winged will be done during this season. Check
on your safety belts and if you take off face the sails, make
it sure before, the air space be free!

THE
FLIGHT:
Hillside
flights. With hardly 15 km/hour, El Yelmo allows to keep up and
to do hillside on the left and on the right of the take-off. Be
careful with the electrics lines on the right. Friends pilots,
respect the priorities!
THERMICS:
El Yelmo is generous in thermics. The rock, placed in front,
on the right,has a thermic surely and, the whole higher of El
Yelmo, generally for his geological characteristics is propitious
at broad thermics.
The
presence of numerous birds in this zone,(particularly vultures)
are the best witness to follow. Even so, we must know, it is preferable
to move away from relief, when the conditions are very thermics.
Remember
that in a thermic, the first pilot to come in, he can turn around
as he wants. The others one, to follow him, have to turn around,
in the same direction that him.
In
the summer, we dissuade to fly (gliding) between midday at seven
o´clock in the evening, The difficulty is will not be in
taking-off, but in the landing,
CROSS:
It is easy from El Yelmo, to make distance.With a few height and
a normal plan, to arrive up to Segura castle (5´2 km by 600
m. of unevenness) to go on to Orcera, then go to Siles. Raúl
Rodriguez did 170 km. Come on!
ROTORS:With
north-west wind, look out the south part over the rock situated
on the right, and just in front of the take-off . With
south-west wind, avoid north face of the hills at north to Hornos,
at altitude bass.

RESTORATION:The
orientation of relief, the vegetable robe, is surprisingly stiff
in this this south part of Spain, and the regulator effect from
El Tranco dump, are factors to accomplish very good flights of
restoration.
In
summer time, there are wonderful flights with sunset. One evening,
in the summer of 1998, it was imppossible to land before eleven
o´clock at night.

Fliying
from El Yelmo, there is an electrical line before El Ojuelo in the
olive trees field on the right side of the road. It's hard to
see it from the air ! |
| THE
LANDINGS: |

1-
The one of parapente is placed on southward of El Ojuelo,
approximately 500 m. from the village fountain, and it is the
only officially designated.
For the begginners, Don´t worry! They will arrive with enough
altitude.(Distance, take-off - landing: 3.900 m. by an unevenness
almost 1.000 m. and if when you are flying, you can not remember
where the countryside is, you will see it without difficulty in
the reveille drawn in the central countryside area, There are
no electrical lines around the countryside and it has a private
parking. When you have to fold your delta-winged, remember the
grasshoppers and other bugs, become in small accid patchs if they
are flattened inside.They can be harmful for your wing or paraglider.
Please, don´t leave any rubbish, don´t set any fire
neither throw fag-ends and remember: The free camping is forbidden!

2-
The one of delta-winged is placed close to the road from
Carrasco to Cortijos-Nuevos, on the right. There is a perpendicular
electrical line to the end of the countryside.
3-
La Fuente de El Ojuelo: Meeting point to organize the climbs
and it is too, our particular Hollywood. It is there, where
the plate of the foot-prints of the paramotor world champion,
Ramón Morillas, is. Every year, we add one plate more.
